Dear ADI-diary User,

The new upgrade 5.3 is available which is for driving schools only. Driving instructors do not need to upgrade as the new feature is not available for a single instructor edition. However, it is recommended that all driving schools upgrade to version 5.3

New features

In the previous version inactive instructors were handled by the Switchboard Server and ADI-diary received notification that a lesson update was rejected. In the new version, if an instructor is currently not active, the update is halted and is never sent to the Switchboard Server. This dramatically improves the performance of the system.

There are situations when you need to open two different diaries at the same time. The new version allows you to run ADI-diary more than once on the same computer. To avoid confusion, the diary must be installed in a different directory.

Open Instructor profile

• Select Operating Page
• Set field “Instructor Active” to No

You can still book lessons on the instructor’s diary, but the updates will never be sent to the instructor’s computer

What if I have a mirror diary?

• Go to Network Menu
• Click Configuration
• Select Advance Page Tick the box next to "Send updates to inactive instructors"

This will override the settings in the instructor’s profile.

How to upgrade

• Exit Diary
• Click here to download version 5.3
• Click Save (DO NOT click 'Run')
• On the left side of the dialog box, click Computer
• Double click Disk C:
• Double click ADI-diary-V5
• Click Save
• Computer should ask you to replace ADIdiaryV5.exe
• Click Yes
• Start Diary
